Patriarchy in Activist Spaces II – UPDATE

Two important updates on Patriarchy in Activist Spaces II:

1 – the event has been pushed back to begin at 3pm.

2 – RSVP is highly recommended to ensure that the organizers have an accurate head count and to provide a mechanism for sharing what may trigger guests (that feel comfortable expressing such). Here’s the link to do so!

See y’all tomorrow!

Rape x Pop Culture Circle [16 Days]

Rape/Pop Culture

What about those “Blurred Lines?” What happens when rape culture creeps into pop culture? Do we keep dancing and listening? Or do we stop and start to become critical?

Join us as we facilitate a circle discussion on what happens with Rape Culture and Popular Culture combine – and share ways in which we can combat the intersectional consequences of the two.

When: Tuesday December 3rd, from 12-2pm
Where: CCNY International Studies Program Office, NAC 6/293

Free and open to all races, faiths, genders, and identities!

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is an international campaign originating from the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute sponsored by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership in 1991. Welcome to the branch at the City College of New York. Established in the Fall of 2011, the branch at the City College of New York Campaign Committee has been supported by students and the community of Harlem. There are events organized around the topic of gender violence. They range from self-defense, learning about domestic abuse, sexual health, and many others.
